TD started strong with a good press straight from kick off to win the ball quick and be on the attack but unfortunately didn't amount to anything. Shipley continued to start strong and play their football early on.

The opener came in the 8th minute, Lily Bannon started the scoring off with a thunderous strike. The goal came from a good high press to force the away GK, who played the ball into Lily's feet who struck from outside the area into the bottom corner.

The home side continued to press, play good football throughout. The second goal came from Poppy Hollings with a swift counter attack from a corner, where Lily Bannon collected the ball and played a pass in behind into the path of Poppy who drove towards the goal and calmly finished.

In the 26th minute the third goal came from Lily Bannon who scored her 2nd of the day. The goal was created by Khloe Gundlach who won the ball wide from the defender and dribbled into the space and cut it back to Lily who finished the chance well. Shortly after, Kara Murray made it 4 with an amazing finish by chipping the GK from outside the area to get her first goal of the day.

Shipley started a little slow at the beginning of the second half but was still the better team as they were continuing to play good possession football and creating numerous chances.

It took 15 minutes in the second half to open the scoring again with Kara Murray netting her 2nd of the day from some good attacking play by Mila Sullivan who drove down the right flank well and played it into Kara who finished well into the bottom corner. Minute later, Mila Sullivan made it 6 with her first goal for TD. It was an all rounded goal but made by Mila, she gained the ball on the halfway line and drove past 3 players to get into the box and finished across the Gk into the bottom left corner.

Khloe Gundlach made it 7 in the 53rd minute after some really good play between Khloe and Amber Minter. They played it round 2 players to create the space for Khloe to finish into the bottom right corner.

Poppy finished the scoring off in the 57th minute to score her second of the game. Good play all round from back to front to create the chance, with Lily Bannon assisting the goal to get her 3rd assist of the game and Poppy finishing well again.

Lily gained POTM after getting 2 goals and 3 assists even though she was getting marked the whole game. Lily took control of the game well by playing some really good passes in behind the defence to create numerous chances.

Into the next round of the cup and onto next weekend where TD Girls look to continue their unbeaten and good run, facing Horsham Sparrows at home. Come on TD!!
