After being handed a win the week prior in the same fixture as Baptists were unable to to field a team, Shipley were hoping for a big victory to propel their hopes of promotion and possibly winning the title.
The game got off to a rapid start with Shipley controlling the majority of the early parts of the game. On the right hand side TD Icon GT was up against a Baptists legend, with a combined age of 130. utilising his somehow still immense pace GT was able to to cause mayhem for Shipley and it was through him that the first goal came as he assisted talisman Dan Mc.
Before long the Crawley Kaka - Adam - gave Shipley a second goal after some brilliant close control in the box. Assist from Sam Gasson.
GT finally got a goal for himself after a beautiful dinked ball over the keeper found the side netting in a perfectly executed shot. The assist came from fellow veteran Dan Mc.
After Missing a sitter on this ground on his last visit Tiago with his typical Brazilian flair bagged a goal for himself being assist by Dan Mc.
In an effort to even up the game, in a great show of sportsmanship Shipley keeper Ryan decided to throw the ball into his own net while coming to collect a ball.
Heading into the second half Shipley did not take their foot off the gas as another goal came through Tiago after being assisted by captain Ben Collins. Collins bagging himself an assist after a commanding performance in the middle of the field.
Adam Dinkovski bagged himself a second goal to cap a fantastic performance that would earn him man of the match. Dinkovski was instrumental in driving the ball forward and starting the attack for much of the game. If pre assists were a real stat he would no doubt be in the teens by this point of the season. Dan Mc capped what was a poor performance for him with just the one goal and 3 assists, insufficient to earn him yet another star player award.
Making a long awaited return to the team Hamill will no doubt be resigned to spending another few weeks on the bench after missing 2 sitters while playing up top. despite being commanding at centre back in the first half
Despite being in the pocket of a player 45 years his elder for much of the second half skilful and pacy winger Haroon managed to get his first goal of the season for the thirds assisted by GT.
