TD claim the crown for best 3rd team in the league

Heading into the final match day of the year TD were looking to do the double over their local rivals South water thirds to secure the title of best third team in the league and return to winning ways after a draw last week.
At the start of the game the dragons were dominant but could not find the back of the net. The game was starting to look like a fifa game with 55 shots to TD and 3 to Southwater. In true TD fashion despite having control over the game Southwater were first to bag a goal as they made the most of a good opportunity to truly make it a game of FIFA. This proved to be kick up the proverbial that the dragons needed to start taking their chances. TD new boy Clivert was like a man possessed as he was too much to handle on the left wing running the opposition ragged and it was through a Clivert corner that Centre Back Dynamo Dan Henstock was able to knock it passed the keeper to make the game level.
On the Opposite wing Arjen "GT" Robben was also proving a hand full for the opposition left back who was rumoured at half time to be asking to come off. After being dominant for most of the half TD were finally able to take the lead with their 60th shot of the game when Ben el Capitano struck the top left hand corner from out side of the box. This was the Icing on the Christmas cake for man of the match Ben who was dove tailing like Kroos and Modric with another TD newbie Eric who bossed the midfield masterfully.
Going in at half time 2-1 TD were full of confidence but they were brought back down to earth by a Southwater equaliser. From here the reds were not shocked for long and they continued to dominate the game for large parts despite Southwater threatening occasionally it was never truely in doubt that the third goal would come. The match winning goal when, Giroud's younger English brother (certainly a favourite among the older ladies in the crowd) Andy Hamill controlled the ball with the opposition centre back close on his heels and played it through for Dan who gracefully took it past the last man and slotted home in the bottom corner. The final 10 minutes was hard graft the TD back line dug in to hold onto the lead with Henstock and Butler clearing everything and winning every header. While the result slightly flattered the opposition who certainly don't deserve to be bottom of the league there was only ever going to be one winner and it was onto the Christmas party to celebrate later that night.
