The Dragons mark game week 2 with another victory. Despite much transfer gossip over the summer of Star players Sunny and Banks making a lucrative move to the Reserves they both announce on deadline day they were committing their long term futures to the 3s. Sunny made it clear that he was 3s through and through (unless we don't win the league then he's off).
The game started slowly while the might dragons found their feet with some slow passing play before taking the lead early on when Hamill found Jordan at the back post with a superb toe poke round the Trinity defence. Horsham managed to hold off the dragons well despite the heat until the the Centre Back turned Striker Andy Hamill managed to find the 3rds star signing Adam who rifled home yet again to make it 2-0 to the Reds. Hamill might look like a Centre back, move like a centre back and be a centre back at heart he sure was causing problems up top for the trinity back line.
Horsham managed to pull a goal back after awarding a penalty. At first it looked the be a fantastic last ditch tackle from Russ putting his head on the line but the ref thought there was too much contact. The trinity striker managed to stick it past the keeper in the bottom corner.
The second half didn't go as planed as Trinity managed to get an equaliser early on. And they've got to be commended for putting in such a strong performance with a bare 11. However they were not able to store the veterans from linking up as Scotty "The Don" Howe found his long time team mate AJ who headed a bullet into the top right hand corner. No Keeper is saving that.
From there the dragons continued to pile on the pressure with Star defender and West Sussex's most up and coming sports journalist Collett intercepting smartly in the opposition half and hitting a magnificent volley from 30 yards. forcing a save from the keeper.
in the 75th minute GT managed to take it round, 1,2,3 then 4 players like a man on a mission until magnificently passing it into the keeper and after a scramble TD were still without a 4th Goal. Throughout the second half TD could have scored 3 more and could have lived to rue their misses, in particular another sitter from Majestic winger Sunny, but managed to hold their lead and make it 2 in 2 under their new management. 100% win record continues for the Collins'.
