The Dragons put in a near perfect display away at Eastbourne and record a fine win.
The first half was a tight encounter and the boys had to battle hard to dominate the midfield and get control of the ball, however as the half wore on, the boys started to pass the ball about stretching the Eastbourne defence.
The defence was resolute and hardly gave the Eastbourne Strikers a sniff, the midfield worked their socks off and the wide boys provided the time and possession when we had the ball.
A good first half display was turned into a brilliant display in 2 minutes right at the end of the half, first Jack played a nice ball through to Ashden to run on and finish beautifully before Jack burst down the right and lobbed the ball over the keeper to make it 2-0 less than a minute later.
HT: 2-0
The boys dominated the ball even more in the second half as Eastbourne tired but a wicked deflection saw the hosts back into the match.
The boys needed to weather a rally from the home side and restored their 2 goal advantage when Dicko was upended in the box and the ref awarded the Dragons a pen. Jai finished very nicely.
As the Dragons started to run riot Jack nodded the ball to Jai who lashed the ball home on the half volley, a strike of real class.
FT: 4-1
PMOM: Ashden - Gave the defence a hard time all game.
In truth this was an excellent team performance and any number of the team could have been voted for today.
