The Dragons traded early blows with Polegate but their tikki takka football edged the early exchanges without creating any good chances.

The Polegate striker started to cause problems for the TD defence with his power and strength and after riding several challenges blasted home to give the Grasshoppers the lead.

In the next 15 minutes the Polegate striker took the game away from TD with an unplayable display scoring 4 goals, the TD team could not cope with his size, drive, power and directness scoring some fine individual goals.

A 5th goal by Polegate ended the first half barrage.

A change of formation and personnel at half time stemmed the flow of ball to the striker and TD took control of the game. However it took 20 mins for TD to get onto the scoresheet when Frankie never gave up hope and latched onto a through ball to grab a goal for TD.

The Grasshoppers grabbed a goal back immediately when TD hesitated on a deep cross.

As the game drew towards a close it was TD in the ascendancy and further goals from Jai and Frankie added a degree of respectability to the scoreline and showed that a better first half display may have resulted in a more positive outcome.
