The Dragons deployed a new 5-4-1 formation against a side 2 divisions higher and gave their all to make a brilliant game of it.
Woodingdean had more possession, chances and the better of the play but the Dragons stuck to their task and only a single switch off during the half lead to a goal, a lesson to be learnt, play on until the referees whistle Boys.
HT: 0-1
It was vitally important that we didn't concede a 2nd but unfortunately we did after Woodingdean found a 2 on 1 overload down their left flank before finding the extra man in the middle who made no mistake.
This could have signalled the end for the Dragons but we rallied to show great spirit and a breakaway was finished by Jai to get us back into the game. A switch back to the 4-4-2 saw TD take control of the final stages of the match and chances came and went, Jack firing straight at the Woodingdean keeper when clean through then Jai riding a foul where if he had fallen we surely would have been given a spot kick.
The last meaningful passage of the game saw Jack clean through again only to be cynically fouled however just outside the box by a fraction, a couple of feet further and it would have been a pen but ended up being a free kick on the edge which TD could not convert.
FT: 1-2
MOM: Charlie, solid Rolls Royce performance
