The Dragons started poorly, working hard but losing concentration defensively and allowing the Lewes Rook attackers time and space.
The Rooks applied pressure and from a crossed ball we headed into our own net to give the hosts the lead.

The Dragons never stopped working hard but the tricky pitch made passing and control very difficult. However from a cross from the right a Rooks defender handled in the box and the Dragons were awarded a penalty. Joe stepped up and duly dispatched home to draw the Dragons level.

The game was stretched and chances fell at either end. A super volley finish from a Rooks player gave the hosts the lead once more.

HT: 1-2

The 2nd half saw the Dragons play much better and control the majority of the half. Chances came and went as the Dragons could not find the net until after 45 Dicko connected well to draw the Dragons level again.

However a breakaway saw the Rooks grab another goal to push ahead once more and despite the Dragons having many more chances they could not draw level again.
