The Dragons twice fought back from 2 goal deficits to earn a draw against the lively Lewes Rooks but should have earned a win with the chances they created.
A sloppy start led to the Rooks taking an early lead, which they doubled after more poor shape and concentration by the Dragons. A tweak to the formation and shape allowed the Dragons back into the game and the introduction of Hayden down the left flank gave drive and delivery. Hayden scored 2 goals in a brilliant cameo before half time to drag the Dragons level. Jake C hitting the post and Jack H the crossbar and the Lewes Rooks keeper pulling off a handful of good saves to keep the Rooks in the game.
HT: 2-2
The Dragons started the 2nd half like they started the first and again conceded 2 early goals before settling back into the game. A penalty allowed the Dragons to get back to within a goal of the Rooks, initially saved by the Rooks keeper but unluckily parried straight back to Seb to fire home. After more good play a corner fell at Ashden's feet and he drove home into the corner for parity again.
More chances came and went with the Rooks keeper again making great saves but in the end honours were even at the end of a great match.
FT: 4-4
MOM: Hayden P - In great form
