The Dragons were much improved against a fair Hove Rivervale side, keeping their shape much better and showing signs of better patterns of play.
Thomas and Alfie played with great shape and Thomas read the whole game exceptionally well from start to finish.
The Dragons had to soak up a lot of Rivervale pressure and did so very well however a Rivervale corner drilled into the area eventually cannoned off of a Dragon and past Ollie to give the hosts the lead.
The Dragons rallied and after a back pass Blu's quick thinking set up Jake to fire home the equaliser.
HT: 1-1
Minutes into the second half a nice move down the right saw Seb set the ball back for Jack to lash the ball into the top right of the goal from outside of the box for the Dragons to take the lead.
The game started to get stretched now and both teams had opportunities on the break however slack marking by the Dragons saw a Hove move down our left flank develop into the box and Hove drew level.
Ten minutes from time a TD goal kick was presented to the Hove strikers bearing down for them to snatch a lead which they would go on to hold.
FT: 2-3
MOM: Thomas
Disappointing to lose but signs of improvement and clear areas to work on.
