The talented Galaxy side started like a train, scoring 2, hitting the post twice and forcing stand in keeper Alfie into a handful of good saves within the first 10 mins. It looked like we were going to be in for a rough day at the office.
However a breakaway and cool finish from Jake seemed to de-rail the Galaxy side and the tide began to turn. A 2nd goal on the break by Jake restored parity on the scoresheet and turned the tides further.
The pressing in midfield by James and Seb and the tough tackling by Ashden became a feature of the game, the Dragons not letting the Galaxy boys settle on the ball and play their passing game.
HT: 2-2
Almost immediately after half time the Dragons high press ended with TD taking the lead for the first time with a goal from Seb, this seemed to deflate the Galaxy side and they became noticeably nervous. Another goal from Seb began to turn the screw for the Dragons and the Galaxy side imploded. The Dragons maintained their high press and created opportunity after opportunity, with Jake completing his hat-trick, Seb also completing his and James getting in on the act too.
Thomas providing solidity at the back, Jack an outlet on the right and Olly defending from the front.
FT: 7 - 2
A very, very good performance from the boys, probably their best to date against a very talented passing team.
MOM: Ashden Attwater - Dominant display
