Without Ollie C and Jack with illness and against a top Galaxy side coming off of a 13-0 win last week the Dragons had it all to do in this fixture.
The Dragons started well competing across the pitch to keep the talented Galaxy players at bay.
The Dragons were opened up after good play from Galaxy down the right however rather than drop their heads the Dragons raised their game and twice caught the Galaxy on the break, Olly D racing though and scoring 2 of 3 chances created.
HT 2-1
In the second half the Dragons tired a little and the Galaxy exploited the extra space they were given, Galaxy scoring 3 quick fire goals to take a 4-2 lead, however the Dragon spirit was never dented and the boys never stopped competing, another breakaway near the end of the game saw Olly D complete his well earned hat-trick and there was even time for one more chance for the Dragons when Jake hit a sweet shot which was going in until blocked.
The Dragons could have nicked the draw however a narrow defeat against such a good team was evidence that the team are improving week on week and playing against such good players will only make our boys even stronger.
Ashden, Brandon and Thomas defended like soldiers, Jake and Harry got through an unbelievable amount of work down the flanks and Olly D's defensive work from the front was as impressive as his goals.
Special mention to Alfie for an outstanding display in goal deputising for Ollie, it really was a very very good performance.
FT - 3-4
