The Dragons made the worst possible start to the game conceding after 2 mins. Things got worse as Athletic's passing and drive caused many problems and the lead was doubled.

TD then got on the scoresheet as Jake drove forward and unleashed a great strike past the Athletic GK. Olly D then brought the Dragons level with another fine finish.

TD then fell asleep again as the Athletic Midfield drove past the Dragons leaving us undermanned for their attacks, 2 more Athletic goals coming before the half time whistle.

HT 2-4

Second half Harry T was given the task of man marking the Athletic danger man and he did a fantastic job keeping him quiet for the remainder of the match. TD drove forward with jack and Alfie causing problems down each flank, Jack played a through ball to Jake and he duly dispatched to get the Dragons back into the game again.

The Dragons won a succession of corners and eventually a fierce corner into the danger zone by Jack was turned in by an unlucky defender to draw the sides level.

Thomas and Ashden were tough tackling as usual keeping the Athletic advances to a minimum. Brandon also winning tackles and distributing carefully.

Momentum was now with the Dragons and after a drive forward from Ashden, Olly D was on hand to steer the ball past the keeper into the net for the 5-4 lead.

The Dragons held on for the final minute to take the victory in such a topsy turvy match.
