With two storms before and during saturdays game Dragons green was in jeopardy of being called off. Surprisingly the pitch was in great condition and with the rain holding off until the final whistle TD reserves got a game in and escaped chewing up a lovely looking home pitch.
Selsey arrived with a young looking side, in the early exchanges showed they had ability on the ball but lacked positional sense and were not going to be able to cope with TDs extra power and strength. With Selsey looking shaky at the back when dealing with route one football, TD fell in love with it and consistently hammered the Selsey back line. One long ball out of Charmans hands , a defender miss judging the bounce Mazza was in to go 1 up on 18 mins. TD were becoming predictable as the Selsey back line dopped off and the threat had been dealt with. Last five TD remembered the principles of there play and started kncking the ball around , Fran picked the ball up in the space now left by the retreating Selsey back line ,slipped Mario in with a sweet pass 2-0 45 mins.

HT gaffer reminded the boys we were not wimbledon and the space was there to play. mix your game up and stop consistently banging the ball forward.

2nd half was TD dominance plenty of chances but TD just couldn't finish it off. Mario missed a pen for the trick. copey and sean fined for skying the ball over the bar. Selsey keeper pulling off 3 great saves. With TD pushing for the 3rd Selsey nearly clawed one back with 8 mins to go. The message from the slightly adjugated bench was discipline and control. Sean ,cope and Senra duely abliged and managed the game out perfectly. Selseys main threat and best player was there number 9. who after 90 mins up against truelove looked bang average.

Gaffer said. 1st home win,3points,clean sheet,3 out of 3 in October got to be happy with that. However we need to kill teams off and manage ourselves better in the final stages of matches.
