After 3 big performances against arguably the 3 best sides in the league, the results hadn't gone TDs way and they were lacking points on the board. TD turned up to Capel with an air of expectancy, Even though the reserves had pushed players up to the 1s again, availability and injuries still an issue, It was deemed a very winnable game.
The game kicked off and within 2 mins Sam Gasson was subbed of with breathing difficulties, to say the gaffer was disappointed was an understatement. 5 mins later Leon was kicked in the head bravely going for the ball and was also taken off. To add to TDs issues the team did not follow instructions , launching it to the Marios head who was struggling to get anything of the two big CBs or going long, which on a postage stamp of a pitch was futile. Credit to Capel they came with everything ,showed more want, desire, commitment and won every 2nd ball. Although Capel were not too threatening a foul in the box to award a soft pen gifted Capel the lead after that point TD just didnt play and it was criminal. Harry Cope came on at half time and demonstrated all the basics that were missing from his team mates, communication, drive, a will to win and never give in. Unfortunately this was still not enough to put a rocket up his team mates.

It was mentioned that a back 3 may not be working as answers are always sort after shipping goals consistently, However if 50% of those are from set pieces its not the formation but a lack of concentration and competing for a ball. Players need to be braver and take accountability in defensive situations. The reserves are changing personnel weekly the lack of consistency is killing them, another reason why things are not quite clicking at the moment . One bad performance should not define your season , it just sucks all week.

Gaffer said" you can have a bad day with the ball but never without, we were poor in both aspects, at times all players have bad days but for all of them at the same time. That's shambolic. We must have a big reaction next week".
