With a bigger better squad than this time last season TD were full of optimism going into the the season opener. Once again the opening game was Del utd and same as last year the gaffer was on his hols! Although the TD boys had a few missing this didn't dampen the mode as the squad depth is good this season.

In the early exchanges TD missed 4 guilt edge chances which would have put them out of sight, reminiscent of last season where the boys started fast but missed opportunities, Once again we were punished as Del were brutal and clinical scoring both there chances.

The game finished 2-5 to Del not the hammering we got last season but still the wake call was given. Work rate and effort were there but that should be a given. A gentle reminder if you don't take advantage when you have it you'll be punished and it could be a very long hard season if it carries on. Sean O'kane was TDs MOM. a screamer and an assist from CB. its no surprise to the gaffer one of his favourites was the main man.
If the rest of the squad applied themselves like big man and not just on Saturdays the turn around will be quick and TD will match there abilty with results.
