TD reserves league campaign finally got under way and it was well worth the wait. After last weeks disappointment due to postponement ,weather or Rudgwicks dubious back bone the cause we will never know.
The lads were chomping at the bit to get on the grass and they came out the traps like a greyhound on speed. The TD boys gave no time to the young South water Royals side. they pressed hard , tackled even harder. Murphy crumbling Kian Pushman like a crisp packet early doors to set the tone in a hard but fair fight. TD set about there business well and once in control of the ball it was crisp passing ,sharp movement and it really was men against boys as Borer conducted everything. It didnt take long before MOM Toby Smith took the lead on 10 mins. TD really were far to good for the oppo and steam rolled into a 5-0 lead within 33 mins.Senra got his birthday goal and it was turning into a perfect day.
It was as close to perfection as you could have asked until a little sloppiness fell into TD s side and allowed far to much time for the South waters striker on the edge of the box to wiggle about before beating Harry with an unstoppable curling shot.

2nd half was a much closer affair as TD took the foot off slightly and Royals improved dramatically. George O put in a monster shift and was unlucky not to be on the score sheet, sayif added to the tally , once he was moved more central Royals had no choice but to kick him and Mario showed his versatility moving to the wing and scoring again. Only a trigger happy lino stopped him claiming the hat trick.

The sun and good football went to Charmans head as he tried to cruyf turn in his box gifting Royals there 2nd. A mistake i'm sure wont happen again as he was awarded the wow for the match.
Nick Pritchard played well and showed all his experience as some players got gun hoe and Royals were kicking out. If the boys continue to match there ability with the work rate and mind set they showed Saturday we could have a great season. Looking at the players left out shows how strong we are depth wise this season.

All around great start to the season. long may it continue...Every single player was on point ,cope playing both sides of defense, not phased by being moved out the middle. exactly the attitude we need from the boys.
