Watersfield Winners

The Dragons had little time to prepare as confusion over the KO time meant we started without a warm up.

However it was TD who started brightly and took the early control.

It was a midfield battle where concentration was the order of the day but on 40 a Dragons press led to the Watersfield 1st team centre half losing the ball to Dan McG who duly volleyed past the outstretched keeper into the corner of the net, a hammer blow for Watersfield as TD went in 1-0 up.

HT: 1-0

After the break it was TD who continued to have the lions share of possession, tucking into 2 lines of 4 when without the ball, Watersfield found it impossible to break through. A fierce shot from distance was spilled by the Watersfield Keeper for Dan McG to double his and TDs tallypoking into the empty net. AT last some daylight for TD.

The game was effectively won when on 75 a move down the right found Kyle on the edge of the box to turn and rifle into the bottom left of the goal for 3-0. Kyle's 2nd goal in as many games, a great start to his senior career.

On 78 the referee judged Jack to have stamped on the Watersfield player who dived in front of him, a more than harsh decision which both sets of players could hardly believe!!!

Watersfield started to have a little more of the ball and scored from range on 83 but it was not going to affect the Dragons 2 banks of 4 and TD rounded of the scoring on 86 when Dan secured his hat-trick by bending in from the far edge of the box to complete the scoring.
