Dragons Edge out Brockham in Tough encounter

After the epic win away at Brockham, TD needed to back up the result with another top drawer performance against Brockham again.

The brief was the same and so was the outcome.

The boys refused to let their concentration drop for a second and shut out the potent Brockham forwards again.

9 and 10 performances from every player in the playing squad backed up by Jimbo, P, Andy, Wellsy and Joel looking after all other jobs.

The Dragons were organised from start to finish, adapted as the events unfolded and provided a moment of brilliance to win the game.

Longy was solid as a rock in nets.

Aaron, Fitzy and Nick a brick wall well assisted by Bubbsy, Stu and Campbell.

Butler, Dan and Rich busted up the midifield while Abid (putting his body on the line), Russ and Scott provided an outlet but also additional cover when needed.

Barrett pulled the strings and supported the top men as much as possible and Jack and AJ worked tirelessly while often isolated to be our first line of defence.

The goal came from a corner that was half cleared to the edge of the box, a Rich Sadler air shot fell nicely for Nick who played a ball back out to Scott who had taken the corner. One touch to set and a second crossing the ball nicely into the perfect area for Nick to meet it after having spun and run into the box, the header was perfect and gave the Brockham keeper no chance.

30 mins of backs to the wall defending ensued but Brockham couldn't carve out a good chance, so only half chances and shots from distance hardly troubled Longy.
