TD in Control at Brockham

TD took a strong squad to Brockham FC to face the free scoring 100% record, League contenders.

TD took the initiative early on and with the wind Brockham could not get a grip on the match, Rich Sadler was dominant in midfield and set the tone with some tough interceptions and tackles. TD pressed the Brockham defenders and made them clear without composure.

A ball in from the left to the near post saw TDs all time top goalscorer get on the end to flick past the Brockham keeper to take the early lead.

Looking like we were going to take a slender half time lead on 42 mins defending a corner TD broke with pace and purpose and got marauding left back Stu Powell free with the keeper to beat a task which Stu duly obliged to give the Dragons a 2-0 HT lead.

Second half into the fierce wind the job was to be resolute which is what the boys did. A nasty injury to skipper Fitzy saw him carried off in a daze so Dan A had to play the full 90. He marshalled the defence superbly, ably assisted by Aaron, Bubbsy, Stu and Nick.

Rich Sadler, Butler and Teaguey all provided the perfect shield to our defence to keep the lively Brockham attackers at bay.

The leagues tightest defence Vs the leagues deadliest attack saw TD come out on top as TD blunted all Brockham pressure.

TD run down the clock and maintained the 2-0 scoreline until the end on a very, very cold December day.
