With a third of the season now completed, TD next head up the road to visit nearby Southwater for what is certain to be a hotly contested affair. Although both teams are very much close in proximity (2.5miles to be exact), a local rivalry has never really been much of a thing until now with both sides competing at the top of the table this year.
Southwater come into the game off the back of 7 straight wins in all competitions scoring 26 goals in the process. The latest being a 2-0 victory over Ferring to advance to the QF of the Sussex Intermediate Cup. They also boast an impressive unbeaten home record this season with 5 wins and 2 draws. TD head into the game with 14/14 wins in all competitions so this mouthwatering top of the table clash looks a great spectacle.
Goals should be a plenty with both sets of strikers in excellent form. For TD, Adam Campbell-Stone has 8 in the last 6 and Ollie Broad also grabbing 7 in the last 7. For Southwater, Zain Beg has netted an impressive goals 10 in the last 7.
We hope to meet some familiar faces too as Clarke Byrne, Dan Skett, Jack Frankland and 2019 TD young player of the year Archie Goddard have all previously donned the TD shirt.
The Dragons make two changes from last week’s squad with Jack Ranson & Conor Smith coming in. Ash Rycroft and Sam Gasson step out.
