Dragons Edge Del in Oriel Epic

The Dragons started tentatively but edged in front after 35 when Ollie broke clear and made no mistake finishing cleanly.

Instead of settling the Dragons it didn't, a mixture of the TD Boys taking their foot off of the gas and Del upping their anti saw the Del firstly equalise, after forcing the TD into a mistake with their higher press, and then, with their tails up, taking advantage of 2 x penalties for mistimed tackles.

HT 1-3

TD were in a hole - and only a huge slice of resilience, quality and a bit of luck could get them out of this.

However, belief is a key part of this and the boys did. Firstly Ollie spotted the keeper well off of his line and chipped him from a good distance to grab 1 goal back, this helped turn the tide and the Dragons piled forwards, Adam finishing off at the 2nd attempt the draw the sides level, it was now TD in the ascendancy and eventually after a couple of fair chances had come and gone Jamie headed home to give TD a lead again.

Adam could have wrapped things up minutes later but fired straight at the keeper.

The tide now started to turn again as Dragons started falling like flies, Millsy, followed by Shane, Ollie, Toby and Jerome all picked up knocks as Del threw everything at the game.

There were 12 minutes of stoppage time, and even an indirect free kick from 8 yards was blocked as TD held on for the win,
