The Dragons were determined to get up and running and this is exactly what they did although this was a tricky trip for TD.
Newtown Villa have experience galore and are always a tough, physical opponent, this game was to be no different.
The Dragons did start brightly and Ollie gave us the lead after good work through midfield, finishing well.
The Dragons controlled the ball and created multiple chances however a mixture of good keeping, good defending and wasteful finishing saw no further addition to the score line.
In fact TD had Woody to thank for keeping the score as it was, with a huge 1 on 1 stop that looked like it was going to see an equaliser.
HT: 1-0
The second half saw much the same as the first, TD in control but unable to put the game to bed.
Deep into the 2nd half a drive across the box by Ollie ended with him being unceremoniously upended with the referee having the easiest of task to point to the spot. Adam tucked away nicely to get his account off and running for 23-24.
As the game fizzled out TD defended a corner and broke away with Kane running ht length of the pitch before sliding to Adam to add his 2nd and TDs 3rd to finish the game.
FT: 3-0
MOM: Kane - a delightful bundle of energy, passion, strength and class
