After a busy morning of phone calls,emails and texts a venue switch was secured and TD had a game to play on 3G.

Newdigate arrived with a much improved side and 11 new players . They had strengthened all over the pitch and so it proved. TD started reasonably well but well off the pace ,sloppy in possession,wayward passes ,slow in the press and left Dan Mac isolated up top, but some how still had control of the game.

A few times TD put it together and when we did it was good! one of those moments lead to Dean King flying down the wing bursting into the box and smashing it into the back of the net. Dean had 2 more similar chances and another day would be celebrating a 15 min hat trick. Poor team concentration lead to a great opportunity for Newdigate to level luckily there striker had toblerones for feet and missed the target by miles. The last 15 mins TD had Newdigate pinned in there half but we still looked disjointed and clunky. TDs best chances coming from corners ,Harry P sending in some wickedly spicy delivery's which saw Gids head everywhere but the target. Harry and Ben really are perfecting there set pieces and its becoming a weapon we can utilize once we head on target.

Charlies 2nd game for us and he worked his socks of with youthful enthusiasm and with time and guidance will become a very good player ,The same can be said for Harry,P both have a lot to learn and are doing that game by game . Just like Jack Charman last season who has become a 2s regular and this season is proving what hard work gives you.

HT 1-0

TD came out the traps quickly and captain Alf smashed the ball into the net from 2 yards whilst screaming like he was on set in Brave heart. TD 2-0 up, the third came minutes later as Ash picked the ball up, turned, took a few yards before steadying himself to pick a corner and drive it home from 25 yards. TD 3-0. The 4th goal was strange!!! with Ash clearly 15 yards offside and the lino clearly confused allowed play to continue. Everyone went into stunned silence Ash calmly rounded the keeper on a 1 on 1 TD 4-0 and a gift we happily accepted. Made even sweater after the defenders had claimed they had Ash in there pocket. Newdigate had one effort on target all game which Ryan saved brilliantly. Anything else was snuffed out or blocked by Super Senra playing out of position at centerback ...Apparently he can play anywhere. He was ability assisted by AV and skipper Alfie.

Over all you cant complain too much when you score 4 concede 0 don't play any where near your best, your new striker gets off the mark and the team wins. The lads stayed calm and positive throughout and made sure as a team we got what we came for.
